WTF WEDNESDAY: First day back

Hello my dears,
Today was my first day back at school. It's so sad! New professors, new classes, none of my same friends from class. What is even sadder is that I really don't feel like trying to get to know people. It takes too many smiles and too much effort. BUT if I plan on making friends I guess I will have to pull out my bag of smiles and use one every now and then.

This semester I have Trigonometry, Psychology, Biology, and History. I am on the waiting list for my Media Writing Class. The one class I NEED and I'm on the waiting list, perfect, right?

Can someone take me back to Winter Break where all I did was work and sleep? Those were the days! And to think I was actually excited to get back to this....*sigh*.

Welp! It is only the first day and I know it will get better. I just have to dive into it and have a positive attitude.

On another topic, did you guys hear the news? Ciara is pregnant with rapper Future's baby! There were rumors of course but I couldn't get myself to believe it until I saw it. I am a little tiny bit shocked because they just got married, but then again nowadays what celebrity ISN'T moving fast?

Ciara looks beautiful though and we all know I love Future, so I am happy for them!

I just hope things will feel better for me tomorrow! *Fingers crossed* Maybe I will start to like this change.

After all, I did promise myself that this semester will be more eventful than the last. So I have got to make that happen!

Good luck to all te other students back at school!

xoxo

Happy Monday!

Hello dears,

Today is the dreaded Monday, for you. Unlike most of you I am not in school right now and I don't have a 9-5 job either! Welllll...I do have work tonight at 5, but I still got to sleep in later than you all so HA! I am really going to have to get my normal sleeping schedule back in place because this whole going to sleep at 5 or 6 in the morning and waking up at three is not going to go well when school starts back up.

Today, I have no big announcements and no major lessons. I am simply blogging to be more consistent! This is all a part of my New Year Resolution on making my blog better. The more I blog, the better, right? So, here I am!

Last night while searching for Beyonce's newest songs from her surprise album, I realized how little of the songs are actually on YouTube. She really made sure you buy her album in order to have your ears blessed with the greatness of her songs. So like millions of other people, I surrendered and went to Walmart and bought her album. Sure I could have bought the album on Itunes and had it downloaded straight to my phone, but I wanted to be able to say I had the actual CD.

After I got home last night, I put away my groceries, pulled out my laptop, and put the disc that said VISUAL in first. I was so excited that there was a whole disc full of her music videos. But I mean, this is Beyonce we are talking about, what should I have expected?

Now, I have got to be honest. I thought it would be a LITTLE more exciting and up-beat, but I still appreciate how she went all out with it. What makes this album different is that she is not holding back in any way about her sex life with her man. She really is proving to everyone that she is a grown woman, with a real relationship, and a beautiful child.

My top fives from the album have to be:
1. Drunk in Love

2. Mine

3. Partition

4. Flawless

5. No Angels

The visual album is flawless and I wouldn't change a thing. She looks great in EVERY single look they did. I love this new confident sexy being she is becoming! Welp! I think it is safe to say she still has me as one of her biggest fans. I will forever and always love her!

That is all!

The Perfect Boyfriend

The "perfect" boyfriend.

He is something we all wish we had. He is the Edward from Twilight, the Derek from Grey's Anatomy, the Noah from The Notebook.  The perfect boyfriend is sexy and strong yet soft when it comes to his touch. Tv shows, romance novels, and movies often make it hard for us girls to distinguish fantasy from reality. If you go through life searching for a Ryan Goseling or a Channing Tatum you will find yourself in your one bedroom apartment with 16 cats, 4 fish, and a gerbil.

Now, I would never encourage you to settle. I believe we are Queens and we deserve nothing less than a king. BUT your eyes may decieve you....the hottest guy isn't always the best guy for you. I have come up with a list of traits YOUR perfect boyfriend should have. THIS should be the guideline you use the next time your Mr. Wrong comes along ( you like how that rhymed?)

1) Listen to the butterflies!
It may not be love at first sight, but the butterflies in your stomach will give you the answer. You should be excited to see him or hear from him. It should be an excited nervousness, not a nervousness to where you feel like you have to act like something you're not.

2) Your number one cheerleader
He should be your number one supporter in every decision you make. He should back you up and encourage you to be the best YOU you can be. Just as you would be there for a game of his or a performance, you should expect the same support from him.

3) What does your mama say?
Chances are if your family doesn't like him, he's not the one. Your family sees things that you won't always see. Love is truly blind and the sweet heart you may think you are dating may be the jerk who will break your heart. If your family doesn't like him, hear them out. Listen to their reasoning, they only want the best for you.

4) Are you HIS main priority?
Behind family, of course, you should be his main priority. Time with you and making you happy should be his main focus. Video games and friends should come second or third.

5) R-E-S-P-E-C-T
This is a huge thing in relationships! He should respect your values, morals, wants, and needs. At all times! BUT he can only do these things if you make clear what you expect from him, so make sure you make these things clear and there is complete communication.

6) Your own personal comedian
What is a relationship without laughter? You should be able to laugh and joke around with each other and not always having to take each other too seriously. There will be hard times and good times in a relationship, but if you're not able to laugh during the hard times, you most likely wont make it through together.

7) Don't try too hard
If you feel your boyfriend isn't giving the relationship enough effort, that needs to be discussed. You shouldn't have to to TRY to make him love you. Love is effortless. There should be nothing forced.

8) Loyalty
Let's be real. Guys are dogs and like the good dogs, your guy should be loyal. Unless you're all about the whole "free love" thing where you and your guy can be free to have as many partners as desired then your man should be loyal. When it comes to cheating, there are no excuses. Whether you forgive him, it is up to you. Whether you take him back, it is up to you. But if you want the "perfect" boyfriend...that man does not cheat.

Nobody is perfect, but YOUR ideal guy should follow this guideline completely. Every girl has their own wants, so you may have some more traits that you want from a guy and that is fine! Just understand that your man may not look like a celebrity, but when your guy is good to you and checks a yes on the things above....you got a keeper girl!

Personally, my lovely boyfriend of a year+ checks a HECK YES on all of these things! I wouldn't encourage you guys to have a checklist for your Mr. Perfect if I hadn't already found mine.

I love you ladies! Remember, your Mr. Right will find you. Keep the fairy tales and movies in the books and the movie theatres!

Happy New Year

It's a new year!
I am so thankful for all of the things I have been blessed with and one of them being my wonderful blog and my lovely readers! So hats off to you guys because I love you!

I have totally been off with my writing and I apologize for that. Not only have I been in total relaxation mode, but every time I attempted to blog my lap top would act up on me. I would get so frustrated I wanted to punch through my laptop and throw it across the Barnes & Nobles! So here I am back at it again, with a little more patience and my IPad instead.

Last year was great for my blog. After all, I had just started it in the Summer of 2013. Now, here we are in the Winter of 2014 still going strong. This year I want things to be even GREATER for Cynthea Says and my lovely readers. I've been brainstorming a lot on ways I could make this more exciting for all of us. Things will definitely be changing around here on Cynthea Says and I am very excited!

For now, lets talk about New Year Resolutions. Do people still write those anymore? I do! Every year since I was able to write I have made my list of goals I plan to achieve before the new year comes. Last year I accomplished 4 out of 7. Yay me! (Kinda) This year I plan to accomplish them all! Now, I feel like if I show them all to you guys I will have no choice other than to make sure I accomplish them! So, here they are. (Try not to laugh)

Cynthea's New Year Resolutions for 2014
1) get drivers license already!
2) do a pageant
3) improve on blog views and reader base
4) travel to an unfamiliar place
5) get into sorority of choice
6) treat hair with healthiest treatments possible
7) get an internship and/or scholarship
8) be brave! no more being afraid of the unknown
9) be welcoming to change

Okay guys, there it is. If I come up with more things I'll make sure to add it to the list. And I'll also write about everything I have on this list when it is achieved! I'm pretty confident I can make these things happen. What are your new year resolutions? I'd love to see them! Maybe I can steal some ideas! I love you all and please stay tuned for what else is to come!

xoxo
